A Thai-American company begins to build a bridge across the Mekong River connecting Thailand and Laos. Dave Shaun—an American and former soldier in the Vietnam war—is currently the construction site manager for the bridge. Kimberly Baker is a professor researching the ancient Phuri tribe.
